Night Cafe : CD's Listed by Category : Singer Songwriter
Robb Johnson Robb Johnson  Robb's work ranges from acoustic with violin / bowed bass (Big Wheel) through to a rocky work out on Yeah Yeah Yeah. Robb has often been praised as one of the UK leading songwriters by many people over many years. We have much of the catalogue on this web site, not withstanding the excellent Overnight and Night Café CDs (from which we drew some inspiration)
David Lewis David Lewis  Singer Songwriter, working with John Wesley Harding on both CD's he achieves a kind of Nick Drake 70's bedroom feel with excellent and at times ironical lyric writing, here at the Night Cafe, this is our kind of Madness/...
Mook Mook  Mook (a.k.a. Jill Farrar) is a songwriter from Sheffield, who began her ventures in music with childhood piano lessons and playing the oboe in wind bands and orchestras. Surprisingly it was the oboe that led her to discover rock n roll when she was asked to join a local indie band looking to broaden their sound.

Angie Palmer - Road Angie Palmer - Road

A Fantastic new Album from Angie Palmer.

Acoustic, Atmospheric Americana.

Great song writing with unusually good lyrics.

Angie Palmer, is a tremendous acoustic guitarist and singer whose obvious heroine is Joni Mitchell, but she can also work up a blues growl. It’s hard to pull off an album with nothing but your guitar and voice, but she does it with ease. - Joe Cushley Mojo Magazine

After only playing a couple of tracks Bob Harris said "this album is superb"

John Ward - Waking Dreams
Johns most recent CD, building on the excellent Water on the Stone, same singer song writer / pop mix/..

An enormously assured and mature performance, surperbly delivered by a combo of musicians organised in support of Johns own tasteful frework, a great piece of writing (Folk on tap)

Pure Magic (Grapevine)

Fifteen quality orignals, intelligently crafted melodies, powerfully direct vocals (Rock N Rreel)

'Excellent rolling acoustic pop which glows so warmly you're tempted to cuddle up with the CD player. Ward's writing is consistently excellent throughout and his worn vocals warm enough to tell every day tales with a degree of sympathy. His backing crew is tight and talented.' Folk Roots
